I thought to start the New Year off right at Photography Du Jour, we should have a contest. I think I will be doing more of these as they are so much fun and I love giveaways myself, so here is the first giveaway of 2011! First Snow: Northern Virginia Family Photographer

Santa Baby: Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer

In need of some holiday cheer? This little cutie is sure to cheer you up. This little one is the daughter of one of my husband's longtime friends. These were taken with my studio setup at my home, which is perfect for this time of year when it is so cold outside! Isn't she just adorable. She was wide awake the whole time and while I really wanted some sleepy shots, I'll take these. She was a great little model for me.

Catching Up: Northern Virginia Photographer, Loudoun County Photographer

I love this time of year when we get to focus on family and friends and what the holidays mean to us. Consequently, it's also when things get busy and my blog suffers. I have been busy ordering cards and putting together my client gifts (which is so fun for me). This family was so great to spend time with. Mom is a hair and makeup artist, and she sure knew how to style her kids. Thanks "M" family for a great time.

Perfect Evening + Fabulous Family: Loudoun County Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer

I love it when everything works out perfectly for a photo shoot from the weather, to the location, to the family, to the clothing etc... This family knows how to dress and makes my job as a photographer very easy. We caught the last of the fall leaves and there are still some up around my property but they are quickly fading. Loudoun County is so beautiful in the fall. The middle child is such a poser. Maybe he should sign with SMG Models. What do you think?

Go Redskins!: Northern Virginia Photographer, Ashburn Photographer

This beautiful family hails from Louisiana. A job with the Washington Redskins brought them to Virginia, and google brought them to me. We decided to have the session at my outdoor "studio" and I am so glad we did as the fall foliage is still brilliant. It was such a joy to spend time with them. Their daughter is the cutest thing. Anytime they need a babysitter I'm available! She was a delight and I enjoyed her varied expressions. I don't usually post this many photos, but I just can't help myself!
























Mom bought these adorable bear bottoms from the GAP. I adore them.
