Another Round Hill Session: Loudoun County Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer

I really don't mean to go on and on and on about how beautiful Round Hill is, but it's kind of hard not to. When we first bought our property to build a house on, we were living in a foreign country and my husband flew back to the states to look at land. It was kind of a leap of faith that we took, buying in Round Hill.

I had never seen the property, the road, the setting, everything. If you know anything about me, you know that nature, beauty, the outdoors, that's what I love. So when I first drove on the road to our new home, I got chills as I saw huge red barns, farm fences, horses, open land, and a vineyard, right across from our property. It still takes my breath away every time I drive up my road. I feel so extremely grateful and blessed to live in such a lovely spot. And it's a perfect backdrop to my photography. These were all taken in Round Hill.

This family was very sweet and fun. The kids kept me on my toes and we had a fun time together.

N + K Engagements: D.C. Wedding Photographer, Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer, Loudoun Wedding Photographer

This sweet couple have been together since high school. Truly this is a case of meeting and marrying your high school sweetheart. I love fairytales like this, partly because mine wasn't a fairytale (grew up and married my best friend story) and I am a romantic at heart.

Nicki is in graduate school and her fiance, Kevin is also going to graduate school. They are hardworking and dedicated. I look forward to capturing their wedding next summer. Did I mention I love my job?

WWW.SIMPLYBOWS.COM: Northern Virginia Photographer

It seems like forever since I last posted. It's not for lack of things to post about, but because of an over abundance. My first priority is to my clients and getting them their photos and this blog is my last priority. I have so many things to share with you and hopefully I can squeeze in some posts.

So most of you know me as a event and portrait photographer, but sometimes life calls for a little diversion and that brings me to www.simplybows.com. The owner of Simply Bows, Julie, is updating her web site and needed some product shots. Julie hand ties every hair bow with care and quality. She offers a wide array of products for children and my favorite next to the pretty bows are the custom birthday party hats. They are a keepsake your child will cherish forever. I can't say enough about her great products. And you can't believe her prices! Click on the link above and see her offerings. She even offers cute beach hats for your little man.

All American: Loudoun County Photographer, Sterling Virginia Photographer

This family epitomizes the all American family. They are fun, sensible, and sweet. The boys are a reflection of their wonderful parents. We had a fun time hanging out in their backyard and the location was so great, they might see me hanging out in their backyard in the near future :) "D" family, it was so nice to spend time with you.

D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival: Chapel Hill Photographer, D.C. Photographer, Loudoun County Photographer, Northern Virginia Family Photographer

The Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival is a major event drawing tourists from all over the globe. It also happens to be a popular time for photography of all kinds from engagement photography, wedding photography, family photography, and nature photography. It's no small feat to trek downtown and navigate through the crowds to find the perfect cherry blossom tree as your backdrop. Fortunately I was able to find some perfect spots for this family photo shoot. This family came all the way from Chapel Hill, North Carolina to get their photos done. I felt so honored they chose me to be their photographer. What a lovely and sweet family this is. Thanks for spending time with me among the blossoms of D.C.

Senior Photos: Loudoun High School Senior Photographer, Senior Portraits, Northern Virginia Senior Pics

It's time to schedule your senior photos. I know right? It's only April (nearly) and it seems like summer is still so far away. If you want unique, original, and seriously fun senior photos, (hopefully you are picking up on the not to subtle hint to hire me) you will want to call me sooner than later to secure your spot. I promise you will not regret it. Also, I offer something most photographers don't and that's your photos for you to keep and print on C.D. That's right. You can post them on facebook or upload them to your phone; it's up to you to decide how you will use them.

I also offer cap and gown sessions at my home studio. And best of all.... you can afford me.

P.S. If you go to my facebook fan page I have a special giveaway going on just for you seniors so check it out @ http://www.facebook.com/photographydujour

I love photographing at night.

I thought it would be helpful to create some wall display templates to show the various ways you can cluster your photos to create a focal art statement in your home.
