Sweet Little Guy: D.C. Newborn Photographer

Lately my photography has taken me all over Northern Virginia, Loudoun, Fairfax, and D.C. In the process I have been fortunate to meet some really terrific families and that's partly why I love what I do. I love being with people and really don't think I could survive a cubicle job all by myself.

This sweet guy was not a sleeper. Contrary to the photos, he was awake for most of the session. This is pretty typical for newborns older than 10 days. He finally slept at the end and I got some great newborn shots.

Sweet Mr. "K": Great Falls Virginia Newborn Photographer

What a sweet little boy this was. At six weeks I can't exactly say he was a "newborn" but he did rather well considering he was a lot older and more alert than my typical newborn. His parents are just the nicest people and are so patient with their firstborn. It was such a pleasure meeting you and working with your sweet Mr. K.

Twice is nice: Northern Virginia Multiples Photographer, D.C. Newborn Photographer, Twins, Loudoun County Newborn Photographer

I have a confession, this was my first time photographing multiples. I was very excited to do it but also a little curious as to how I would direct the shoot. I have seen beautiful twin photography and newborn photography by various artists and have been in awe of their work and wondered if I could ever measure up. In the end, I am in love with these photos. I love the newness of the babies and am truly in awe of their parents and the fortitude they must have to simply keep on with life when there are not one, but two little babies that need you constantly. God bless all parents of multiples.

Newborn Photography: Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer, Ashburn Newborn Photographer, Loudoun Newborn Photographer

These clients were so good at planning in advance of the arrival of their baby. They contacted me a few months ago to schedule their shoot and it worked out perfectly as she is just 1 week old now. She was the perfect subject for me and so easy to pose. "J" family, she is perfect in every way and I had fun spending time with you.

and we can't forget the family dog...

Nursery Contest Winner: Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer

What a cute baby this girl is. I seriously love her chubbiness. My babies were all so skinny and never looked this chubby. Chubby babies are the cutest. I remember when my last child was born with hardly any baby chubbs and someone said to me: "He looks like a little old man." I thought to myself, you know you're right. So this post is dedicated to looking like a true baby.

Also, I just have to say I received so many comments about this nursery. Everyone was so impressed with it and I just want to put a plug in for the design and execution. This nursery was designed by Molly Kay Johns and her husband, Thomas Johns carried out the beautiful design. Thomas is a builder and owns Legacy Woodworking in Purcellville. Together they make a fabulous team. Legacy Woodworking built our new home and I can say that the quality is unsurpassed. If you are in the market for a custom nursery, home addition, or even a new home construction, give them a call at 703-431-8811 or legacywood@verizon.net
